The Soroptimist Girls of 2016!
On Thursday 17th November, two girls from Year 12 took part, with great distinction, in the ‘Northern Ireland Soroptimist Public Speaking Competition’ in the Robinson Memorial Hospital, Ballymoney. The girls, Aoife Campbell and Grace O’Neill, spoke for six minutes on topics as varied as education, equal rights, austerity and even President-elect, Mr Donald Trump, in front of fellow entrants and some tough judges! Congratulations and thanks to the girls involved and all those who contributed in some way. We look forward to success in the competition next year when all Year 12 and 13 girls will have the opportunity again to take part and test their public speaking skills against other girls from across Northern Ireland.
