KS3: Brief Topic Overview

Year 8

Students use the software packages MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Students complete innovative ICT activities based on various scenarios involving a ‘Safari World’ theme. Being Safe Online, Network Use, Internet Safety, Data handling, Spreadsheets/Modelling, Web Design.

Year 9

Students will explore the concept of 'Life in the Highstreet' through real life database, spreadsheet and e-commerce scenarios. Digital Footprints, Systems Software, Digital Image Manipulation.

Year 10

Students will research Managing College Information (MIS). Web Design, BBC Micro Bits, Multimedia development, Game design, interactive game implementation.
