KS3 Brief Overview
Year 8
​
Pupils will be introduced to a number of different activities including Gaelic, Basketball, Swimming, Gymnastics and Athletics. They will also be encouraged to lead a fit and healthy lifestyle and try to improve their overall level of fitness.
Year 9
​
Pupils will have the opportunity to build upon the skills they acquired in Year 8 in various team games and individual activities. They will be encouraged to take responsibility for their own fitness and health and look at ways in which they can improve.
Year 10
​
Pupils will continue to build upon the skills acquired in Year 8 & 9 and develop concepts of team play and the fitness levels required for different activities. They will look at ways they can improve their own level of fitness for activities they may wish to pursue.
